Director of Business Development - Partners & Channels
Start Date: October 1 2020
Salary: Competitive package depending on experience
ServisBOT is seeking a Director of Business Development with strong communication and organization skills to manage key partner and channel relationships and help drive new partner-led opportunities. Responsible for indirect B2B activities including identification, recruitment, retention, training, and partner enablement. Develops and implements a channel expansion strategy which drives double digit year over year channel growth, leads and manages the channel account team to achieve or exceed partner goals. The successful individual will be part of the senior management team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Accountability for channel strategy, operational execution, and management of channel account team
Personally recruits and develops channel partners to achieve or exceed business acquisition goals. This may include recruiting prospective partners, managing and prioritizing channel development opportunities, partner training, supporting customer engagements, partner enablement and support activities.
Fosters and maintains a positive, growing relationship and mind share with channel partners and their sales organizations.
Manages partner opportunities throughout the entire solution selling process leveraging the various tools and resources available
Manages administration of channel program including new program development, opportunity registration, channel conflict, and KPI compliance.
Identifies decision makers and influencers. Engages resources as appropriate to ensure efficient and effective opportunity management.
Initiates timely communications via phone calls and on-site visits as necessary to cultivate channel partnerships.
Develops, builds and reports on partner pipeline of new business opportunities using specified methods, including cold calling, staying in touch with existing customers, prospects and channel reps.
Responsible to manage and respond to miscellaneous channel partner or end customer requests and engaging the wider company resources as appropriate to address specific partner sales, operational, and/or technical requirements or issues.
Ensures all activities are well documented and current in CRM
Stays current with company’s objectives; may lead the company into new, profitable revenue streams
Direct P&L Responsibility for all partner and channel activities and will be responsible for preparing forecasts and budgets.
Knowledge & Skills Required
Directly manages channel account team so managerial experience is required. Successful candidate will carry out management and supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws. Includes interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Administers compensation and business opportunity dissemination in concert with company business objectives and incentive plan terms/conditions.
Ability to influence and lead others without direct-line management responsibility

Communication and interpersonal skills -comfortable and capable of communicating with all levels within and outside the business both written and verbal with a high level of professionalism.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field (i.e. Information Technology, Business, Marketing). Masters degree a plus.
Experience:8-10 years partner experience gained within the IT industry within a business development, relationship management or sales role; knowledge of software development life cycles and the ability to develop an integrated solution to prospects and customers, required
